I talk to young people a lot about doing this kind of work.
I grow food for people.
I grow food for my community.
Letting them know that it is a career that's viable, I think it's like the ultimate gift to community.
Anybody can do it.
Okay, here you go.
I don't want anybody to feel too intimidated or scared.
I want people to be encouraged.
To start a plant from seed, it takes time and patience and care and attention, and it teaches us a lot about how we should behave in all aspects of our life.
Look at how tiny they are.
People that I know that I work with want to share the knowledge because they want to empower people to grow their own food.
