Barry George is inspired by found objects, forging and the human form. He began crafting yard birds after seeing a bird made by a Plainview, Texas welder from a shovel and a bicycle fork in 1987. George forges pieces of metal together to create sculptures that speak to the state of the world, both socially and politically.
